The house sits along a bulkhead on the Indian River Bay in Deleware.
An American dream house is created for an entrepreneurial couple and their children. The design blends the rich history of the site, parceled out of historic farmland, with hints of traditional character, yet the home is loaded with modern materials, features and details.
This home is situated some 120 feet above the road below within a wooded area. The house character draws from agrarian utility building forms and materials in the surrounding rural community. The structure bridges a rocky crevasse running downhill at the center of the site, formerly thought to be unbuildable.
